Tablets for Textbooks in Schools

We all know that textbooks were first used long time ago. Until now, we still use it as a medium of instruction. It is doubtful if these will totally be replaced by digital technology reading tools, but there are now perceptions that virtual literacy may very well ease out textual print literacy.
We never ran out of books inside our home. Before I went to kindergarten schools, I already had my books since my mother is a school teacher. She taught me many things with the use of the available books in our house. Until I reached my kindergarten days, I was able to have more books for our lessons. But during high school, books had been expensive since I was studying in private school. I could still clearly remember that the most costly book in my entire high school life was the Physics which outlays Php 700.00 and the cheapest book costs, Php 120.00 which was our Values book (Our Journey). Until now, books in college are still for sale. I’ve never experienced yet using tablet as our textbook inside the classroom but I already experienced using it whenever I study or read something, or even research for something.
Textbook has been a great help to humankind, but as we notice nowadays, it is gradually vanishing in some school because of the technological advancement. But we could not deny the fact that tablets also contribute to the progress of an individual learnings.
As to the application, I will be introducing tablet as means of learning inside the learning area. But, I will not forget that books are more important than gadgets even if we say that tablets are advanced.

Educational Technology 2 Practicum

It is important for us as professionals-in-training or even for professionals that we know some basics about the application and proper usage of technology as what was indicated in the Educational Technology 2. In this lesson, students were taught how to use the diiferent Mincrosoft Office program. These basic programs like, the Microsoft Word which helps and individual to edit or insert a particular text or document, another is the Powerpoint presentation where you can create a presentation fo a particular project of assignment, and the Exel wherein we teachers can compute the grades of our students out of hassle.
I've already gone through all these programs. From Microsoft Word up to Excel. We were actually printing documents day by day for our requirements. It became a normal thing to use the programs since we are after of the outcomes-based instructions in our school.
I've realized that through this programs, my work as a student is somehow becomes a bit easier, we depend on the computer just to finish whatever task we may have. But it doesn't mean that we will depend thoroughly on it, we should also find alternative ways.
As a future teacher, I will be inculcating my students on the proper yse of the programs. But since most of them are already equipped in such favor, maybe I'll just let them do on their own and facilitate them for further knowings.

The Internet and Education

According to the Wikipedia, the Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet Protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link several billion devices worldwide. It is anetwork of network that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as mobile apps includingsocial media apps, the inter-linked hypertextdocuments and applications of the World Wide Web (WWW), electronic mailmultiplayer online gamestelephony, and peer-to-peernetworks for file sharing.
Internet gives us pleasure in a way that we were able to use it as a means of connection and communucation to everyone. I've already experienced using the internet since the day I learned also how to use the computer. I was able to use it prior to my schooling, whenever there were projects and assignment that need further explanations then I immediately go the internet even if it will cost me alot.
Internet really helps a lot if individuals, ut makes everyone's work easier. With just one click of a particular site, in a wink of an information will fastly appear. Time will come, internet will become free here in the Philippines.
As to the application, I would be using internet as an effective source of my teachings to my students. I will indulge them the propor use of if because some of them are already abusing it.

UNDERSTANDING HYPERMEDIA

From the Educational Technology I course, the student has already become aware of multimedia or an audiovisual package that includes more than one instructional media (means of knowing) such as text, graphics, audio animation and video clip.
Hypermedia is nothing but multimedia, but this time packaged as educational computer software where information is presented and student activities are in a virtual learning environment. Most Educational IT application is hypermedia and these include:

●         Tutorial Software Packages
●         Knowledge Webpage’s
●         Simulation Instructional Games
●   Learning Project Management and Others
The presentation of information-learning activities in hypermedia is said to be sequenced in a non-linear manner, meaning that the learner may follow his path of activities thus providing an environment of learner autonomy and thinking skills. This fact makes it therefore important to understand hypermedia in the educational context in order to ensure their successful integration in the teaching-learning process.
I've already experienced lot of things using the hypermedia. I was able to make videos out of the program Cyberlink Power Director, we were taught in our Educational Technology class.
Using this hypermedia is a good thing since we will be able to access text, sounds, or video images through it. It ould becomd easier for us to create or present videos.

Since the students nowadays are already inclined to such favor of the different hypermedias, I would be asking or requiring them in the future to create their own video regarding on whatever lessons we may have, but appropriate for the video to be made.

The Software as an Educational Resource

Software is a program tha tells a computer what to do. There are two kinds of software, the System Software and the Application Software. System software refers to an operating system that is found or bundled inside all computer machines while the Application software contains a system that commands the particular task or solves a particular problem.
It ws during high school when software programs were officially introduced to us. We were exposed to these things in order for us to create our task conveniently. One example of these is the Microsoft Windows.
I reflected that this software program is actually very important because wuthout it, we could not use our computers. It would then be useless.
I will be using this program for my future use in my future career. I would devotedly share what I've learned about it to my students, but since we all know that students in the next generation are coined to be more advance, then my role would br a facilitator to them.

Cooperative Learning with the Computer

Cooperative Learning
Cooperative or collaborative learning is learning by small groups of students who work together in a common learning task. It is often also called group learning but to be truly cooperative learning, 5 elements are needed:
1. common goal
2. interdependence
3. interaction
4. individual accountability
5. social skills

Cooperative Learning and the Computer
Researchers have made studies on the learning interaction between the student and the computer. The studies have great value since it has been a long standing fear that the computer may foster student learning in isolation that hinders the development of the student's social skills.
Now this mythical fear has been contradicted by the studies which show that when students work with computers in groups

Components of Cooperative Learning
Education are still wary about the computer's role in cooperative learning. Thus they pose the position that the use of computers do not automatically result in cooperative learning. There therefore assign the teachers several tasks in order to ensure collaborative learning. These are:
1. Assigning students to mixed-ability teams
2. Establishing positive interdependence
3. Teaching cooperative social skills
4. Insuring individual accountability, and
5. Helping groups process informatio
In our class, we've already experienced lots of collaborative activities with the help of the technology. We were able to come up with ideas that would surely help us improve more on our upcoming tasks.
It is a good lesson to be discussed, because I know that cooperative learning makes learners learn more. Technology like computer makes studies easier. So that, if the learners collaborates with the computer the more the knowledge will be acquired by the learners. In summary, collaborates with computer makes the learning easier and meaningful. In here, the action of each student affects the others in a group. Cooperative learning is an affective strategy that can be use to integrate in the computer activities to promote the competencies of the learners.
As a future teacher, letting my students to work collaboratively will help them create ideas and outputs better than an individual's idea. I should be exposing them in such activity soon.

Information Technology in Support of Student-Centered Learning Classroom

The idea of student-centered learning is not a recent idea. In fact, as early as the 20th century, educational educators such as John Dewey argued for highly active and individualized pedagogical methods which place the student at the center of the learning process.
In this lesson, we shall see how the teacher can expand his options to make himself more effective and relevant in the 21st millennium information age. In addition, suggestions shall be made on how a student-centered classroom (SCL) can be supported by information technology (IT).

The Traditional Classroom
It may be observed that classroom are usually arranged with neat columns and rows of student chairs, while the teacher stands in front of the classroom or sits behind his desks. This situations is necessitated by the need to maintain classroom discipline, also they allow the teachers to control classroom activities through lecture presentation and teacher-led discussion.
Noticeably, however, after spending so many minutes in lesson presentation and class management, students can get restless and fidgety. Often enough, the teacher has to also mange misbehavior in class as students start to talk among themselves or simply stare away in lack attention. To prevent this situation, teachers often make students take time to work individually on worksheets can help the situation.
Another option is now presented and this is adopting the idea of developing students to be independent learners with the end of making them critical and creative thinkers.

The SCL classroom
John Dewey described the traditional learning process in which the teacher pours information to students learners, much like pouring water from a jug into cups. This is based on the long accepted belief that the teacher must perform his role of teaching so that learning can occur. This learning approach is generally known as direct instruction, and it has worked well for obtaining many kind of learning outcomes.

The problem with the direct instruction approach to learning, however, is the fact that the world’s societies have began to change. Of course, this change may not be strongly felt in many countries in which the economy longer depends primarily on factory workers who do repetitive work without thinking on the job. The traditional classroom and direct instruction approach to learning conform to this kind of economies.
In contrast, industrialized societies we find knowledge based economies in which workers depends on information that can be accessed through information and communication technologies (ICTs). Desiring to gain effectiveness, efficiency and economy in administration and instructions, schools in these developed economies have also adopted the support of ICTs. Their students have now become active not passive learners, who can interact with other learners, demonstrating independence and self-awareness in the learning process.
Generally the new school classroom environment is characterized by student individually or in group:
·         Performing computer word processing for text or graph presentation
·         Preparing power-point presentation
·         Searching for information on the internet
·         Brainstorming on ideas, problems and project plans
·     As needed, the teacher facilitating instruction, also giving individual instruction to serve individual needs.
Observably, there is departure from traditional worksheet, read-and-answer, and drill-and-practice activities. Students also no longer need to mark the test of peers since the computer has programs for test evaluation and computerized scoring of results.
Given this trend in teaching-and-learning, it must be pointed out, however, that traditional classroom activities-especially in less developed countries-will continue to have a strong place in the classroom. In spite of this setback experienced in some countries, the option has now been opened for the modern teacher to shift gears to students centered learning.

Lesson 11

BALURAN, Jan Wethine D.
BSEd-Eng4A
TTh- 10:00-12:00pm

The Computer as a Teacher's Tool

We saw how the computer can act as a tutor particularly along a behaviorist and cognitive approach to learning in the previous lesson. But we also saw certain computer software programs have been developed to foster higher thinking skills and creativity.
In this lesson, we shall again look at the computer, but this time from another perspective the computer as the teacher’s handy tool. I can in fact support theconstructivist and social constructivist paradigms of constructivist learning. Constructivist was introduced by Piaget (1991) and Bruner (1990). They gave stress to knowledge discovery of new meaning/concepts/principles in the learning process. Various strategies have been suggested to foster knowledge discovery, among these, is making students engaged in gathering unorganized information from which they can induce ideas and principles. Students are also asked to apply discovered knowledge to new situations, a process for making their knowledge to real life situations. While knowledge is constructed by the individual learner in constructivism, knowledge can also be socially constructed. Social constructivism. This is an effort to show that the construction of knowledge is governed by social, historical and cultural contexts, in effect; this is to say that the learner who interprets knowledge has a predetermined point of view according to the social perspective of the community or society he lives in. The psychologist Vygotsky stressed that learning is affected by social influences. He therefore suggested the interaction process in learning. The more capable adult (teacher or parent) or classmate can aid or complement what the learner sees in a given class project. In addition Dewey sees language as a medium for social coordination and adaptation. For Dewey human learning is really human language that occurs when students socially share, build and agree upon meaning and knowledge.
Based on the two learning theories, the teacher can employ the computer as an:
•         An information Tool
•         A communication Tool
•         A constructive Tool
•         As co- constructive Tool
•         A situating Tool
Our instructors usually use their forms of gadgets like the laptop as their informatived tool in teaching. Also, we students use our phones and other gadget in order to acquire informations from the sites like the google chrome and the like. I also experienced the computer as a communication toool with the help of Edmodo, Facebook, google mails, and other programs that could actually help me interact with some people especially our instructors and classmates. Through this, teacher-student interaction will not only be limited to the actual classroom setting but also through online. We can also interconnect the computer as constructive tool here and the situating tool.
Computer as a teacher's tool is very helpful not just to the teacher but also to thd students. This is because, through the use of computer as an aid, every student could not easily cope with the lessons, but it does not limits there but also it can help them in their daily task.
As a future teacher, I should be able to introduce the computerto my students as a very effective tool in their learning. But, proper guidance should be well-implemented in order for them not to do restricted things.

                   The Computer as a Tool

The computer is one of the wonders of human ingenuity, even in its original design in the 1950's to carry out complicated mathematical and logical operations. With the invention of the microcomputer (now also commonly referred to PCs or personal computers), the PC has bcome the tool for programmed instruction.
The computer can be a tutor in effect relieving the teacher of many activities in his personal role as classroom tutor. It should be made clear, however, that the computer cannot totally replace the teacher since the teacher shall continue to play the major roles of information deliverer and learning environment controller.
During my high school days, we were taught by our computer teacher how to paint objects or pictures with the use of the computer. By its use, we were able to come with a computer-based output. This kind of instruction www was also taught to us by our Information Technology 1 instructor. Also, using the "Typing Tutor" game, we were able to enhance our typing skills, if what's the proper position of the hands while typing.
It is very obvious that we're now atually living in a very advance world. We tend to explore more on the different things by the useof technology just to enhance our skills. I realized that through this, the computer as a tutor, I may be able to come up with a very pleasing output that could help me to improve my daily task.
As a future teacher, one way to improve my teaching is to use computer as my tool. This is to improve whatever lessons I may give to them. With its use, students would also able to come up with a very good output since they will be using the computer as their guide or tutor while making the tasks given to them.

Computers as Information and Communication Technology

It was pointed out that the advent of the computer is recognized as the third revolution in education. The first was the invention of the printing press; the second, the introduction of libraries; and the third, invention of the computer, especially so with the advent of the microcomputer in 1975. Thus emerged computer technology in education. But the evolving pace of   innovation in today’s information age is so dynamic that within the first decade of the 21st century, computer technology in education has matured to transform into an educative information and communication technology in education. Close to the turn of the 21st century, however, such a distinction merged owing to the advent of the microprocessor, also known as the personal computer. Some programs were already installed in the computers and that are ready to use, these are: Microsoft Office – programs for composing text, graphics, photos into letters, articles, report, etc.; Power point- for preparing lecture presentations; Excel- for spreadsheets and similar graphic sheets; Internet Explore- access to internet; Yahoo or Google- Websites (e-mail, chat rooms, Blog sites, new service (print/video) educational soft wares etc.; Adobe Reader- Graphs/photo composition and editing; MSN- Mail-Chat messaging; Windows Media Player- CD, VCD player; Cyberlink  Power- DVD player; Game house- Videogames.
As what I’ve experienced during my high days, we were taught to use those mentioned programs which are actually the basic things and as the time passes, we’ve became more equipped with its uses. We tend to create things out of those applications by just exploring more on it.
We can create better outputs if we will just work on it with dedications. We can become experts if we learn it step by step. Also, by applying what we have learned during our high school days and even these years would be a good help in developing our skills.
For my future teaching, I will be introducing these programs tom my future students especially those who are not yet computer-literates, I would be guiding them as they work on their own. As a facilitator, I should not only limit them on the visible things in the computer rather let them discover more for them to create well-oriented things.

Higher Thinking Skills through IT-Based Projects

This lesson tackles on the four-types of IT-based projects which can effectively be used in order to engage students in activities of a higher plane of thinking. These projects represent constructivist projects, containing the key elements of a constructivist approach to instruction, namely: the teacher creating the learning environment, the teacher giving the students of tools and facilities, and the teacher facilitating learning. The four IT-based projects conducive to development higher thinking skills and creativity among learners and these are: Resource-based Project which gives importance to inquiry-based discovery approach, another is Webquest as a Resource it is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by the learners are drawn from the web.
During our Educational Technology I, we were taught how to edit a video and that used the higher plane of thinking. Also, he taught us how to lay-out a tarpaulin as part of our movie presentation in our final examination in his subject.
I’ve learned that we really need to become equipped with the use of the technology, we need to act in order for us to learn and come out from our shells. Hands-on learning will exercise our knowledge and skills in doing the tasks being given.
In my future teaching, I should be applying the hands-on minds-on learning to my students. This will help them develop their higher thinking skills and creativity in the digital stage.

Evaluation of Technology Learning

It has been recognized that engagement to the digital world did not only occurred in the new generation learners but also in the traditional learners. As efforts are exerted to go digital in instruction, we need to also go digital in learning assessment.
As to the experience, since we were taught by our teachers how to lay-out, specifically the making of the brochures, invitation cards and helped us how to improve it.
I realized that in order to measure the new basic skills of the 21st century digital culture, they must use evaluative tools namely: solution fluency, information fluency, collaboration fluency, creative fluency, media fluency, and digital citizenship.
Teacher must adopt a new mindset both for instruction and evaluation. Evaluation must be geared to assessment of assessment of essential knowledge and skills so that learner can function effectively, productively, and creatively in a new world.

Lesson 6

Developing Basic Digital Skills

Teachers should be clear on what basic knowledge, skills and values (or literacies) need to be developed by digital leaners as they adjust their teaching to effectively match the new digital world of information and communication technology (ICT). This basic literacies will not replace the 3 Rs namely: reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic. It is emphasized here the six essential skills to equip students in the millennial world. These are better called the fluency skills conveying the ease and facility in acquiring and using them. These fluencies are: First, the Solution Fluency, which refers to the capacity and creativity in problem solving. It requires whole brain thinking executed when students define a problem, and etc. The second is the Information Fluency which involves 3 subsets of skills, the ability to access information, the ability to retrieve information, and the ability to reflect on. Third is the Collaboration Fluency, refers to the teamwork with virtual or real partners in the online environment. Fourth is the Media Fluency, which refers to channels of mass communication (radio, televisions, magazine, advertising, graphic arts) or digital sources. Fifth is the Creativity Fluency, which adds meaning by way of design, art, and story-telling to package a message. And last but definitely not the least is the Digital Ethics which is guided by the principle of leadership, global responsibility, environmental awareness, global citizenship, and personal accountability.
During my high school and previous years in college, I experienced a lot from using the technology. I experienced the six fluencies as part of my leaning. But it’s not deniable that even if we’re already exposed to this digital world, we’re still using the 3Rs as part of our learning.
The 3Rs will not be replaced by the six fluencies but they will still be introduced to the students. These learners would be acquiring higher thinking skills with the help of the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy: Creating-new product/point of view, Evaluating-justify stand or position, Analyzing-distinguish different parts, Applying-use information in a new way, Understanding- explain ideas, Remembering-recall information.

As to the application, we must inculcate to our students’ mind the six fluencies in order for them to cope with the fast changing technology. But, we must also forget to include the 3Rs as their guide.

Preferences of the Technology Generation

We cannot deny that there is really a difference between older and younger generations when it comes to their preferences. Like for example, our leisure, work, clothing, foods, and many more. Old generation has availed of slow and single-track pattern of activities. They do things slowly not like the younger who are so very hyper-active. Oldies patronizes old movies, TV shows, and music. While young people focuses on the new one. Oldies are not exposed to the digital world unlike the young individuals.
As to the experience in the case of discord between the practices of the previous generations and the present generations, it was when my previous teachers taught us to research in the library using those books arranged in the shelves, but our present teachers now would just ask us to research in the internet and then the informations we’re looking for would instantly come out. Not like the old days, students are being equipped in reading the book, word by word.
We may vary in many things but we are all born equal. We are molded differently, we have uncommon preferences but it doesn’t mean we’ll stop there, we also need to explore and learn things we don’t like that might help us to become productive. We may also go back to our old style of learning things.
As to the application, we future teachers should manifest to our future students the importance of the older generation’s way of acquiring things. But, we also need to know their preferences for us to easily cope with them especially that technology nowadays is getting more advance.

Bridging the Generation Gap

It is obviously seen in the field of the education that there is really a gap between the older generation and the younger generation. In this lesson, it tackles on the recent impact of technology on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and its effect on global competence among business sectors, and learners. The gap is filled in through the use of modern technology in the world.
I’ve experienced using those old models of cellular phones like the 3310 model, also the 3315. And as the time passes, my cellular phones start to level up.
With the changes that occur every day in the field of technology, we must also learn how to go with it. The only permanent in this world is change, nobody can stop or refrain a thing to grow. Despite of the negative effects that caused by the use of this products, still human continue to discover and invert something that could make life easier and comfortable. For me, I embraced changes with limitations for I know that everything has its own time and purpose.

Lesson 3

Understanding the Technology Learners

As we observed in our existing world, we could really make a distinction between the learners of the present generation and the learners of the previous generation. Learners from the past read the information found in the book, while learners today depend on the internet and they appear to be smarter than the previous learners. These new learners are regarded as technology dependent. They will just sit there and listen and becomes active again whenever a video presentation is presented. Even in group activities and computer classes. They are so active when it comes to the use of the gadgets they have. They become acquainted with the use of cellphones, laptops, iPads, and other gadgets. Another concern is that some of the teachers now are still using traditional way of teaching without being aware that their students are informational technology or digital learners. They got easily bored when they will just standby in their respective seats and do nothing, of course!
As a student, I’ve experienced the same thing. I become active when there is video presented. I am learning more through technology by acquiring information on the different websites specifically Google and the like. Also, Facebook is seemed to be a part of my daily routine and I just could not end the day without it. Aside from Facebook, I also have accounts of the other social sites like the Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Spotify Premium, educational websites, etc. In the school scenario, I have learned how to use the different Microsoft office applications way back in high school in our computer class.
But, despite of the positive things that I get from using the technology, I also realized that negative things are present. It is very evident that upon using the internet, we tend to spend money of course, also we already rejected the use of the books.

There is benefit for us students and also as future teachers since we will be dealing with the so-called “Technology Leaners”, maybe they are more equipped than us. We must consider their attitudes towards learning because we cannot blame them for being driven by the use of technology since they are exposed to it and we cannot deny that.

History & ICT

Baluran, Jan Westhine D.
TTh- 10:00AM-12:00PM
BSEd-English4A

History of Computers and ICT

In this lesson, the reporter talks on the history of computers and the ICT. The history of computer began with the use of the Abacus in the 4th century BC, then Blaise Pascal (1632-1662) invented the “Adding Machine” which is originally called the “Numerical wheel calculator” or the “Pascaline”. A more advance machine had invented by Charles Babbage which is the analytical engine. And as generation passes, more advance computers were invented. The reporters also emphasized the three generations of the computers. UNIVAC is an example of the first generation computers, another is the ENIAC. Transistors emerged during the second generation, while the third was the integrated circuits. Talking on the ICT, they discusses on the different advantages and disadvantages. As a result of the various improvements to the development of the computer we have seen the computer being used in all areas of life. It is a very useful tool that will continue to experience new development as time passes.
What I have experienced during my high school days was that I’ve learned how to manipulate the computer, most especially the various Microsoft Word offices. We all know that we are living in this digital world, we need to adapt with the changes and of course make use of the resources. During my college year, in our Educational Technology class, Dr. James L. Paglinawan, our instructor taught us many things. From customizing our power point presentations to a very unique way also the toondoo where we learned how to make a comic strip with the use of the computer, there also we had our online class, the Edmodo.
I’ve reflected that computer is really a big helped to each one of us. With just one click, we easily found the informations we needed. Our work becomes easier and productive because of the different machine handiworks made by the technology. But despite of its advantages, I’ve realized that disadvantages are also present, since student nowadays are becoming more dependent on the internet, they never brainstorm on the ideas but instead look for those instant informations pinned in the internet. This can be controlled if we will just really discipline ourselves.
As to the application, we all know that students nowadays are more exposed with the use of the computers than us. The thing there is that as future teachers, even if they learned more than us, we should still not forget that nothing could replace the effectivity of the teacher and since not all students are competent in using the computers, we should continue imparting what we have learned.

A Review of Educational Technology I

Educational technology is a wide field. Therefore, one can find many definitions, some of which are conflicting. Educational technology can be considered either as a design science or as a collection of different research interests addressing fundamental issues of learning, teaching and social organization. Through this course, the learners become aware and equipped in using technology as a tool for them to acquire the information they needed. This may introduce some disadvantages with the use of computers but this may also introduce benefits that will surely help the learners in improving their advanced growth.
During our Educational Technology I, I’ve experienced a lot of things regarding the use of computer. We were taught by our instructor Mr. James L. Paglinawan about the making of our power point presentation which would be presentable and unique enough, also the Toondoo thing which helped us a lot in creating a comic strip through it.
I’ve learned that, the use of computer does not only bring negative effects on the people who are using it, but it depends on how those people use it wisely and effectively. I’ve also learned that through this course, I was able to advance my learnings in the field of technology. I became more productive when it comes to the usage of the different applications which will be found anywhere in the internet and other devices where those applications were installed. But most of all, I’ve learned that traditional teaching must not be easily dominated by the technology.
As a future teacher, I must share my knowledge about Educational Technology I to my future students for them to become a more advance learners. I should be teaching them the right way of using it and introduce to them the technology as an advantage if they will be using it properly.

An Overview: Educational Technology II

Educational Technology II is concerned with “Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning”, meaning, it is not focusing on the goal of promoting computer skills in this course but it is concerning on the teaching-and-learning through technology integration. Its aim is introducing technology in the student-teachers training. It is focused on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of educational technology. This is to help them adapt in the technological changes specifically in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment. Some of its objectives includes the sharing of knowledge to the students with the use of technology as an instructional tool, engaging learners on the importance of technology especially the use of internet since it provides wider scope of information.
I have not yet experienced doing activities in Educational Technology II except this. But, I’ve already experienced doing many task with the use of computer. Since we are living in this digital world, we cannot deny that technology is very beneficial to us especially that we are all given the opportunity to access such products.
I realized that Educational Technology II would serve as a great help for us future teachers, it would not only benefit us as knowledge imparters but most especially to the learners who seek informations. This course can be applied to every teaching inside the classroom.
