An Overview: Educational Technology II

Educational Technology II is concerned with “Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning”, meaning, it is not focusing on the goal of promoting computer skills in this course but it is concerning on the teaching-and-learning through technology integration. Its aim is introducing technology in the student-teachers training. It is focused on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of educational technology. This is to help them adapt in the technological changes specifically in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment. Some of its objectives includes the sharing of knowledge to the students with the use of technology as an instructional tool, engaging learners on the importance of technology especially the use of internet since it provides wider scope of information.

I have not yet experienced doing activities in Educational Technology II except this. But, I’ve already experienced doing many task with the use of computer. Since we are living in this digital world, we cannot deny that technology is very beneficial to us especially that we are all given the opportunity to access such products.

I realized that Educational Technology II would serve as a great help for us future teachers, it would not only benefit us as knowledge imparters but most especially to the learners who seek informations. This course can be applied to every teaching inside the classroom.
